Featuring a year-long campaign of branded experiences and viral-worthy moments culminating in one school winning a Perdue-sponsored prom, Nugget Prom is sure to position Perdue as the ultimate family-friendly brand.

To promote the contest, Perdue’s signature Dino Nugget makes appearances
at high school football games nationwide as an inflatable mascot suit.
Teens nationwide can purchase nugget boxes and bouquets to prom-pose to their dates, whether or not their school wins the contest. (Images generated with the help of AI.)
What the prom looks like is up to the winning school’s vision; this is an AI-generated
mockup of a concept: nugget bouncy house, anyone?
Another AI-generated concept: life-size dino nuggets!
Maybe the prom court gets to wear nugget crowns with sauce scepters.
Plenty of photo ops will garner organic social media coverage in spades.

Poised for Virality

By offering surprising, even absurd, brand experiences that echo the joyful strangeness of modern viral content – think the Philadelphia Flyers’ Gritty Mascot or the Barbie Movie’s “I’m Kenough” sweaters – Nugget Prom is poised to earn organic social media coverage all throughout the year.

Spunky Brand Language

Riffing off Perdue’s brand language, the Nugget Prom branding brings a spunky, locker-grafitti-inspired edge, piquing teenagers’ attention as they scroll social media.

The co-creation aspect of having teens pitch their own prom ideas guides kids to take ownership of the brand, building affinity and encouraging engagement.

Process

This project began as a prompt to create a brand activation that was never before seen, so we started by going as crazy as possible before reeling it in. One of our early ideas was for a “chicken strip club”. This wasn’t gonna work for obvious reasons, but it did get our creative juices flowing.
We refined the strip club to a more high-school friendly event by translating the energy of a fun night out into the high-school-friendly package of prom.
