Process
Folowing a prompt to create an illustration series based on a song, I decided to run with "Don't You Want Me" by The Human League.
Inspired by the lyrics, “ Don't you want me? / You know I don't believe you when you say that you don't need me,” I spun up a grungy urban future overrun by chemical dependence. In a sticky convenience store, two men— once business partners whose relationship turned into something more, leaving them addicted to their product and each other—meet again after a falling out.
