Café Divine Branding & Labels
Brand Identity & Package Design

The Problem:  Café Divine, an Austin-area cafe, wasn’t selling many of their grab-and-go salad dressings, sauces, or entrees, despite the customers who did purchase them giving rave reviews.

The Solution: A brand identity that makes the products stand out in the grab-and-go fridge as a real-deal gourmet brand, the likes of which might be found at Whole Foods or a boutique grocery store.

Role: Brand and packaging designer

Ready to Ring Up

Based on my research, because Café Divine had been previously labeling their products with un-designed inkjet mailing labels, many customers weren’t clear on if the contents of the grab and go fridge were even for sale. These new labels poise the products as ready for customers to purchase and enjoy.

Dripping with Flavor – and Color

As the head chef hopes to someday expand sales to local grocery stores, the brand needed to stand on its own. Inspired by Café Divine’s longtime uniform of tie-dye T-shirts, high-contrast colors make these darlings of the delicatessen, looking as premium and gourmet as they taste.

Process

I landed on the write-in logo so it would be easy to apply the branding to other locations, should the project expand.
